Analysis of hydraulic concrete strength test methods

Today, methods of determining the tensile strength concrete are considerable interest. These using anisotropy brittle materials and, in particular, concrete, with respect to compressive and stresses, make it possible, based on findings theory elasticity, determine when tested a load, which can be transferred sample much more easily than forces. The results tests by method compression cylindrical samples crushing cube hewn ribs between two round metal rods lying same plane closely match values obtained direct tension. For all studied compositions, value ratio increases as water-cement increases, both for without additives surfactants. Using surface-active organic substances changing dependence hardening time makes smoother. It has been found that fast decreasing ratio, period corresponds its minimum value, further increase or stabilization Rp / Rc depend number factors cement used, storage conditions surfactant additives, composition, etc. Under influence different position characteristic points curve change obey general pattern. concretes mortars, decrease ratios transition from 28 days age 90 up 10–25% (and some cases more), must taken into account appropriate designing structures.
